They say it's never a good idea to work with animals or kids on live television, and now it seems shoes can be added to that list. Video of CCTV presenter Wang Mangmang losing her shoe during a live broadcast went viral last week, proving that even wardrobe choices can be dangerous when it comes to the news.

Despite the slight wardrobe malfunction, however, Wang maintained every ounce of professionalism and continued to deliver her intro without skipping a beat.

CCTV Reporter Loses Shoe in Awkward Live Broadcast

The video attracted a great deal of praise and applause from Chinese netziens, with many in awe of Wang’s ability to stay calm and focused during the broadcast. Some described her as one of the best news reporters in the country.

Since emerging online last week, the footage has received thousands of shares and views across Chinese social media. On Sina for example, the story drew in more than 10,000 comments in one day.
