Personally, I find keeping animals in captivity to be breathtakingly cruel, but actually, it is the poor children who are really being mislead by the aquarium. Firstly they are expected to pay to see the wonderful polar bear and the pack of wolves but the authenticity of the experience is highly questionable. Would any child learn anything positive from seeing a passive organisation of wildlife? Surely a day out at the shops is just that? What world view does the CEO think they are credibly delivering to children? I am not a business woman but I would like to suggest that surveys or customer research replaces cruelty to education. The adverts alone have me reaching for a box of tissues, really Grand View, why do you have to be so rude?
