If you grew up in the late 70s and liked songs about prostitutes and underage girls, the Police were the rock band for you. With hits like ‘Roxanne,’ ‘Don’t Stand So Close to Me’ and ‘Every Breath You Take,’ the trio made an indelible mark on music. Andy Summers was the guitarist who pulled it all together; the final member to come on board the iconic lineup, which has been ranked among the greatest acts of all time.
Now, over 25 years after the Police split in 1986, Summers has formed a brand-new rock band named Circa Zero, alongside Rob Giles (of the Rescues) and drummer Emmanuelle Capalette. Debuting in Asia next month, the group will be performing at On Stage on October 10, as well as at the Shanghai Rolex Masters’ official after party on October 13.
