A mistress’ demand for money led a 58-year-old Guangdong businessman to beat her with a rock before strangling her to death on June 3, the Shenzhen Intermediate People’s Court heard October 25, according to the Southern Metropolis Daily.
The man, Peng, has confessed to killing his mistress who is being identified under the alias A Fang, 34, in a Longgang apartment that he had given her RMB410,000 to buy.
Peng lived a double life, often spending the daytime with his mistress and returning to his family at night.
Peng and A Fang were on a bed in the apartment when A Fang asked for RMB100,000 to buy her younger brother a small room. When Peng refused the request, A Fang reportedly told him to “Get the f*ck out of here.”
Peng went down to his car, got a stone and returned to the apartment.
“What the hell are you doing, coming back here without any money?” A Fang reportedly said, before threatening Peng’s wife and son.
A Fang lived with her mother and grandmother in the apartment. The grandmother didn’t hear the attack and the mother was grocery shopping at the time.
After the murder Peng washed himself and changed his clothing. As he was leaving, he greeted A Fang’s mother in the elevator as she returned home.
A Fang’s body was discovered by her mother when she tried to summon her daughter for dinner around 7pm.
Peng drove to the Da Peng beach area where he intended to kill himself, but decided not to after swallowing a few mouthfuls of water, the report said. Instead, he used a passerby’s phone to call his son and tell him to take care of the family before taking a taxi to the She Wan police station in Buji, where he confessed to the murder.
