The New Q Mex Taqueria Serves Up Bomb Tacos and Massive Margs

New complex Shang can best be described as ‘hot right now.’ In a slick compound just north of the Liangma River, the building will have you philosophizing as to the geographical bounds of Sanlitun. It features a co-working space, a new Café Flatwhite, a Principle M, Bottega's second location and quotes by fancy white men stenciled in cursive on the walls outside the toilets. But one of the hottest openings? The new Q Mex Taqueria.

Here's, a rundown.

Q Mex Taqueria

What You’re Eating

A big-ass plate of taco fixin’s, alongside warm tortillas (think fajitas, but upgraded). Ceviche if you feel like showing off that you know what ceviche is.

What You’re Drinking

Margs – massive, frozen and slushy, as God intended. The guava flavor (RMB55) is our favorite. Beers if you must.

The Highlight

The atmosphere. The vibes at this ‘taqueria’ are bright and colorful, and will come as a pleasant surprise to anyone who’s knocked back tequila shots while watching a game at Q Mex Sanlitun.

The Downside

The taco salad, and the inevitable indigestion that occurs post-taco salad.
