Businesses affected by this latest round of closings include La Dolce Vita, Smugglers and Pure Girl Bar.

The news is hardly surprising to anyone following Beijing’s massive ‘beautification’ campaign, which kicked off in earnest this spring. Much of ‘Dirty Bar Street’ was shuttered in April. And this summer, authorities closed – and subsequently destroyed – Kokomo’s famous rooftop.

The Tree’s last day of business will be October 15, according to owner Patrick De Smet.
