Since Monday, hundreds of millions of people have been traveling across China to celebrate Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) in their home towns. As the above chart shows: trains, planes, and roads will be packed during this period. You should stay home.

According to transportation officials, an estimated 3.62 billion trips will be taken by rail, air, and road over the 40 day 'chunyun' travel period. That's 200 million more trips than last year, or an average of three trips for every one of China's 1.3 billion people. You should stay home.
