Despite his name, American rapper MC听不懂 (translating to ‘don’t understand’) is well integrated into China’s hip hop culture. The Fullbright scholar serves up bilingual bars, which incorporates cultures from around the world. His summer tour, titled ‘Lil’ Ting Little Tour,’ is his first solo trek, performing in six cities in Greater China. You won’t want to miss it!

Sat, Jul 27: Fire Bridge @ Hooley’s

Formed in 2011, Fire Bridge is a four-piece Guangzhou-based rock band known to bring down the house. The band will be rocking the stage at Hooley’s Irish Bar this Saturday night, with three whole sets of smooth blues, classic rock, hard rock and heavy-hitting originals.

Sun, Jul 28: KT’s Special Performance @ Mao Livehouse

Expect some fresh hip-hop tunes from three talented Chinese artists – SharPei, Liao Xiaonong and KT. A perfect event on a hot summer night, these hip-hop artists will cool you down with their chill beats and smooth lyrics.

Mon, Jul 29: Theseus @ Mao Livehouse

Formed in 2015, Theseus combines folk melodies and powerful lyrics to bring the audience a unique sound. They will conclude their summer tour at Guangzhou’s Mao Livehouse after stops in Shanghai, Hangzhou and Shenzhen.
