One hundred and twelve cases of COVID-19 have been reported throughout the province of Guangdong today, the majority of which (73) were in Guangzhou. 

Here’s a look at the COVID-19 numbers per city. Scroll down for a more detailed breakdown of cases throughout Guangdong. 

Locally Transmitted COVID-19 Cases

• Guangzhou: 27 symptomatic, 46 asymptomatic

• Jiangmen: 10 symptomatic, 1 asymptomatic

• Foshan: 4 symptomatic, 6 asymptomatic

• Shenzhen: 2 symptomatic, 3 asymptomatic

• Huizhou: 1 symptomatic, 1 asymptomatic

• Yangjiang: 1 symptomatic
  

• Meizhou: 7 asymptomatic
  

• Jieyang: 3 asmymptomatic

Guangzhou

The following pandemic prevention and control measures have been implemented in Guangzhou:

• Haizhu District, Liwan District and Conghua District newly been classified as key areas

• New and Adjusted Risk Areas in Baiyun District

• Liwan District and Huadu District to adjust regional temporary control measures

• Panyu District, Nansha District and Conghua District will strengthen epidemic prevention and control measures

• Yuexiu District suspends dine in services

• City-wide nucleic acid testing will be rolled out today (Wednesday, October 26).

Cases 1-22 were identified during screening of isolatied individuals or those in high-risk areas.

Case 23 was found via yellow code testing. 

Cases 24 and 25 were found in community nucleic acid screening.

Cases 26 and 27 were found in the screening of fever clinic visitors.

Asymptomatic patients 1-27 were identified during screening of isolated individuals or those in high-risk areas.

Cases 28-42 were found via community nucleic acid testing.

Cases 43-45 was found found via yellow code testing

Case 46 returned an 'abnormal test result' upon return to Guanghzou from another province. A later test returned a positive result.

Shenzhen

In Shenzhen, five cases of COVID-19 were discovered (two symptomatic and three asymptomatic). 

Two cases were already in isolation while one case was found in non-closed-loop management screening of key personnel. The final two cases were isolating at home.

Infected Persons

• Female, 28 years old, living in Longgang District Bantian Street, Developed Road No. 8.

• Male, 39 years old, living in Longgang District Bantian Street Developed Road 8.

• Female, 61 years old, living in Nanshan District, South Hill Street North Village East Street.
  

• Male, 46 years old, living in Shatou Street, Futian District, Sharon Autumn Village, Lane 11.

• Male, 52 years old, living in Baole City Hotel, Xin'an Street, Bao'an District.
  

The patients had reportedly visited the following areas.

Foshan

The city reported 10 cases of COVID-19 (four symptomatic and six asymptomatic) for the second day in a row. 

All infected persons already in quarantine due to them being in close contact with other infected persons.
