Els’ Kitchen offers hands-on and creative cooking classes for both adults and children in a casual, supportive, and fun environment. We’ll cover, of course, the basics of cooking and the proper techniques, we’ll also discuss menu & cooking planning, and focus on food presentation and garnishing. You will learn how to cook without stress, we’ll encourage you to free yourself from the recipe, to trust your instincts and to create and most of all, to have fun in the kitchen. (and yes, you get to eat what you cook!) Els’ Kitchen cooking classes are designed to appeal to the most novice of cooks while also offering lots of information, kitchen tips, and culinary advice to more experienced chefs. Classes are conducted in the relaxed atmosphere of Els’ well-equipped home kitchen in the Hongqiao area and are limited to 7 people to ensure personalized instruction. Different types of cuisines & cooking techniques, food presentation & garnishing are addressed in a series of hands-on classes with themes like: Sauce success An Elegant Dinner World in Bitesize Herbs 'n Greens Asian Inspiration One pot Wonders All classes feature uncomplicated recipes and everything is made from scratch using high-quality, seasonal, organic (wherever possible) ingredients. Classes are 3-hours long, with hands-on preparation and a feast at the end. All skill levels are welcome
