Mau Mau enjoys pancakes, ping pong and searching for timeless music that makes people do terrible things on the dancefloor – disco, house and techno with grit and funk.
In 2005 he started lugging crates of hip hop and technics around sweaty USA basements, throwing parties with friends. Since moving to Shanghai in 2008, he has started crews Baijiu Robot, TICT, and now local label Co:Motion together with Laura Ingalls, MIIIA, Deep 19, Raz and Michael Cignarale. Through the years he's organized some of the city's freakiest warehouse and one-off parties, as well as club nights at Shelter, Arkham, Lola and Dada before finding a home as music director of the new Shanghai club Elevator.
