Jul 11: Lenka

Australian singer-songwriter Lenka will be gracing Shanghai with her amazing talent for one night only. You may have heard some of Lenka’s hits on famous television series like Ugly Betty and Grey’s Anatomy, to name a few. She has also toured around the world extensively and performed on live TV around the globe.

Jul 11: Mark Gardener

English rock band Ride has been around since the 1980s. The band’s Mark Gardener arrives in Shanghai for what should be a spiffingly good set. He’ll be supported by excellent Chinese acts Pale Air and Rubur on the evening.

Jul 11: Jimmy Bruno Trio

Veteran musician Jimmy Bruno is a master jazz guitarist and jazz educator. He also happens to be one of the most critically acclaimed American jazz guitarists performing today. Early in his career he went on a whirlwind round-the-world tour as the youngest member of the Buddy Rich Orchestra. He went on to play guitar in orchestras for Frank Sinatra, Anthony Newley, Doc Severinsen, Lena Horne and many other music icons. Additionally, he spent many years as an LA session musician working with Tommy Tedesco. You can check out the Jimmy Bruno Trio at JZ Club on Thursday night.

Jul 13: The Wedding Present

British indie rock legends The Wedding Present are coming to Chinese mainland for the first time. They have had 18 UK Top 40 hit singles and fans of the hugely influential C86 genre of music will be overjoyed to see their arrival.
