The fifth and final Calorie Challenge plant-based dinner of 2020 took place at Sip on Monday. Diners enjoyed two appetizers – chicken nuggets with Mexican spicy sauce and Mexican plant-based meat pineapple tacos – and a choice of mains – Italian plant-based meat pizza (a first for the Challenge!) with tomato sauce or plant-based Bolognese spaghetti with tomato sauce.

Located on lively Wuding Lu in Jing'an, Sip is a laid back, dog-friendly venue where people can relax for dinner and drinks, and it's famous for its tasty and potent Moscow mules and delicious Mexican dishes.

The Calorie Challenge has seen us team up with Zee-Ai and five chefs in five different restaurants, who are tasked with creating healthy eating chef menus. Previous events took place at Green FridayJing Alley, Hungry Lung's Kitchen and Tomatito, with three big fans taking part in all five of the dinners.

Diners were marking scores for each dinner, and we will be doing online voting. Stay tuned to find out how to get involved in that, and of course, who the winners are; we'll be letting you know real soon!
