Brut Eatery, a Western-style restaurant that combines artisanal food, specialty wine and creativity in all aspects, has opened a new location on Weihai Lu, near the beautiful Jing'an Temple. While many think of Brut Eatery as just a wine bar, the innovation extends to the food – with modern twists on classical dishes combining both Chinese heritage and multicultural Western flavors into uniquely delicious eats.
The newest Brut Eatery location is a warm, three-story space that combines ingenious cooking, retro design aesthetics and a laid-back atmosphere, perfect for all hours of the day. The wine cellar showcases the extensive selection from around the globe, while the Hollywood-style lighting, dark wood furnishings and warm-hued accents create an inviting space with the ideal balance of luxury.
The third floor sees a small terrace, full of lush greenery, where you can soak up the Shanghai sun or enjoy the evening’s cooling breeze, wine in hand.
On the wine front, Brut Eatery on Weihai Lu is inviting all guests to check out the new venue by offering a complimentary glass of wine with each entrée purchased now through the end of May. (Limited to one glass per guest per visit.)
To ring in 5/20, or Chinese Lover's Day, that both sounds like and celebrates all things amore, Brut Eatery’s newest spot is offering a special holiday sharing menu for two people for RMB520 (marked down from RMB900) from May 18-23. The set dinner includes:
Crabbed Meat with Salmon Roe
Black and White Garlic Prawns
Caesar Salad with Chicken Breast
Australian Sirloin Steak
Dark Chocolate Truffle Cake
A Bottle of Argento Malbec red or Aveleda Alvarinho white wine
Two one-of-a-kind mugs, exclusively hand-painted by the Brut Eatery design team, valued at RMB200 and only available at the Weihai Lu location
Some additional newly launched menu items include the following...
The Crab Meat with Salmon Roe (RMB88) is a sweet piece of fresh crab adorned with salty fish roe. Diced tomatoes and apples form a refreshing salad base, dressed with mustard seed and parsley dressing. Served with a baguette.
Using a non-traditional pan-frying method, the Soy Braised Duck Leg (RMB72) arrives with crispy skin and juicy meat. Paired with a warm pumpkin purée dotted with chickpeas and yogurt plus a fresh cucumber and radish salad.
Black and White Garlic Prawns (RMB98) are eight large prawns fermented in black and white garlic, seasoned with butter and Huadiao wine to bring out the prawn's natural sweetness.
