In case you haven't heard of That's Mandarin, here's what you'll get if you choose to learn Chinese with them. It's not your average Chinese training center — it's a proper language school.

Technology

Note-taking by hand? Forget it!

With That's Mandarin's own, in-house Chinese learning platform NihaoCafe, the class notes are taken for you. All the content you'll learn during your classes, including videos, dialogues, and teacher's notes, will be automatically saved to your account for future review, and you'll have 24/7 lifetime access to your past classes.

Learning Content

Boring textbooks? No way!

That's Mandarin students learn with a newly produced, HSK-graded TV series with celebrity actors. The story is crafted carefully to include all the HSK vocabulary + extra words & phrases that you just can't live without.

And if you prefer to learn with a textbook, you can practice with their Illustrated Chinese Textbook For Beginners series that includes all the dialogues, vocabulary & grammar from NihaoCafe lessons, accompanied by unique exercises & cultural tips.

Teachers

Content and technology are important, but it's always the teachers who make the class special. And with That's Mandarin's experienced, full-time teachers, you can rest assured that you will get the highest quality lessons: they only hire 5% of all applicants.

With a focus on communicative skills, their teachers make sure that you can use all the words & grammar you pick up during your classes and create opportunities for you to practice the new knowledge.

Take a look at what their former students have to say:

For your coffee break in between classes, you're welcome to enjoy a free coffee or tea on the terrace. There are 2 terraces at their Shanghai campus — a spacious rooftop and a cozy glass terrace. These shared spaces are also great for self-study, whenever you want to stay a bit after the class & finish some exercises on your own.

Community & Events

By enrolling in their Chinese classes, you'll join a huge community of That's Mandarin students and alumni. You can participate in cultural events, trips & activities to make new friends and practice your Chinese in a new setting.
