Good news, fitness fanatics – Australian-born F45 will be opening four more gyms in Shenzhen this year! While many businesses have shuttered due to COVID-19, the popular cult HIIT franchise will be expanding in China with locations at Tech Park (科技园), Nanshan (南山), Futian (福田) and Window of the World (世界之窗). Tech Park will be opening this month, Nanshan in August and Futian and Window of the World will open in September.
One dedicated F45 member tells That’s, “What I love most about F45 is the convenience. It’s only 45 minutes of my day. I have been working out my entire life, I have been a member of so many gyms and programs and have never seen as consistent results as I do from F45. It’s also as challenging as you want it to be. Constantly changing (everyday’s workout is different) and welcoming to people in all walks of their fitness journey.”

A 45-minute session usually runs participants around RMB118-198 (depending on package), which may deter some from joining. However, they are running opening promotions, packages and deals for new members, so keep an eye on their WeChat page (ID: F45TrainingShenzhen)
The no-frills fitness chain is backed by American actor Mark Wahlberg, who became a part-owner last year. F45 was in talks of going public in the US in late June but plans have stalled due to the coronavirus pandemic, with founder Rob Deutsch stepping down from his fitness empire.
